For the student who has a few classes under their belt, can center consistently and have a good grasp of the basic forms. This class will be more structured and introduce more complex forms and multiple part pots such making lids, how to work larger amounts of clay and more. We will spend 4 weeks on throwing; project demos each week, 2 weeks on finishing and glazing.
All 6 week classes include: use of tools, 25 lbs. of clay, bisque and cone 10 reduction firing, and open studio time to practice, alternating Saturday or Sunday (11am-5pm) throughout the 6 weeks of class. Available open studio dates will be published on the JBCP website calendar. All students are expected to follow studio policies as outlined in class and posted in the studio. Each student may purchase up to 25 lbs of clay in addition to the clay included in their registration.
All JBCP classes have a minimum enrollment that must be met for the class to hold.
