In this introductory class we will explore multiple ways handbuilding with clay, including pinch pots, coils, and slab building, as well as using molds and stamps. Even trying sculpture. No experience necessary. You are guaranteed to make something useful on the very first day of class! Class will spend 4 weeks on new projects and 2 weeks finishing and glazing work.
 
All 6 week classes include: use of tools, 25 lbs. of clay, bisque and cone 10 reduction firing, and open studio time to practice, alternating Saturday or Sunday (11am-5pm) throughout the 6 weeks of class. Available open studio dates will be published on the JBCP website calendar. All students are expected to follow studio policies as outlined in class and posted in the studio.
 
All JBCP classes have a minimum enrollment that must be met for the class to hold.
